There are rich and poor people who are generous with what they have. They think nothing of sharing what they have even with those who have more than they do. Then, there are other people who cling to their money and possessions. They are afraid to share what they have because if they do, they worry they won’t have enough.

They worry about their money because they love money. They do not trust in God. Look at what God tells us in Mathew 6:26:

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

We are to be generous with what we have. God does not provide an abundance to us for us to upgrade our lifestyles. He provides an abundance for us to share with those in need.

When you receive a raise, don’t upgrade your lifestyle. Instead, donate that extra money to places that help the homeless and to your church.  Did you know that 44% of the homeless people in the US are employed? However, they do not make enough money to cover housing. They are not there by choice. Only three percent of US Christians actually tithe. If you learn the principals of this course, you too will become a generous giver.
